DIRECTIONS FOR SPROUTING These unhulled seeds are best sprouted using a tray filled with potting mix or soil to 5 cm deep. Plant the seeds shallowly and keep the soil damp until they germinate in around 6-9 days time. Cut the stalks close to the soil when at the two leaf stage. Commonly called "sunflower lettuce". 

Black Hulled Sunflowers contain higher levels of oils than grey seeded sunflowers.
