In warm climates, grow mostly in winter, in cooler zones grow through spring and autumn. Prefers a wet, shady place, such as a pond or stream that is protected from frosts and strong winds. Great grown in a pot or tub that can be kept moist. Sow seeds by placing them on constantly damp seed raising mix with some lime added. Transplant to permanent position when seedlings are approx 8cm tall. From then apply high nitrogen, soluble plant food every two weeks from spring to late summer.
