This is a very tall variety, prone to lodging, so staking or fencing of the plants is essential.

Soak the seeds for 2-4 hrs. in a dilute seaweed solution which will help to speed up germination.

Direct sow into your garden about 3-5cm deep

and about 15-20cm apart

in rows 20-40cm apart

or 15-20cm apart in all directions across a wide bed.

In cold areas plant all year round except for maybe Jan-Feb.

In Temperate areas plant from Mar-Oct.

In subtropical and Tropical areas from Mar-Jun.

Plant into damp soil and do not water again until leaves appear.
