It grows to 1.2m and reaches maturity in about 80 days. It will grow in a rich, well-drained, soil in full sun. It is actually quite hardy and will grow continuously given only water Very much a warm season herb it does not tolerate frosts. Basil appreciates added organic matter in the soil.
